Daylite 4 is no longer available on the App Store; it has been removed by Marketcircle to avoid confusion by new users and trial users. A search for “Daylite” would bring up Daylite 4 ahead of Daylite 5 and many users would download it by mistake.

Because of App Store requirements that updates to apps be built with the newest SDK (software development kit), Marketcircle has chosen not to update the previous generation Daylite on iOS—compatibility with iOS 8 would require a complete rewrite. (The last update was on February 25, 2014.) Supporting older software is also a pain in the patootie, so this is not a surprising move.
