A major update to Daylite 4 has been released and if you’ve been on the fence about upgrading from Daylite 3 I can say that now is the time.

Among the variety of bug fixes and enhancements in the update, I count these as most important:

• Search has been expanded, with more fields and objects searched; more data returned; and a global search shortcut available.
• Better handling of external meeting invitations, both of those you send out and those you receive.
• Billings Pro integration (requires Billings Pro 1.6).
• A global shortcut and floating window to enter Tasks while in any application.
• Support for syncing Tasks to the Reminders app (via CalDAV).
• Sharing separate calendars for each Category.

This update requires a database schema change and there are specific instructions for updating from 4.0.x that you will want to follow. If you’re updating the Mac App Store version you may need to wait a bit before the new version shows up there; you can find the non-MAS version here now.
