The Site is Live, Kinda
Well, there’s nothing here yet that you can see, but I’m busy behind the scenes getting it ready for an announcement that I’ll make (hopefully) within the next 30 days. Meanwhile, I’ll be bringing over some relevant content from my personal site, which will help it not look so stark even after the announcement.
I will say that the reason for the site is to emphasize the consulting side of my business (OfficeMedic), which is mainly directed at business users of OS X (Macintosh) and iOS (iPhone and iPad). I’ve been a Mac user since 1988; it’s been the sole platform in my business since the beginning. My focus with DM Insights will be on integration of business-class applications into your business; networking and software support; and training to help you use OS X and iOS applications more effectively.
In case you’re interested in these sort of things, the site is built on Drupal 7, the web application framework and content management system that I’ve been using for nearly 7 years. Most of my clients that ask to have a web site built by me get a Drupal-based site; not only does the CMS side of the platform give them something they can easily use to update the site themselves without fear of breaking anything, but the framework side ensures that the site’s features can be expanded in any direction they want to go.
